The Nagle Sami Foundation appeared after the personal experience of Olga Morawska – founder, mother of two boys, marketing manager at a large publishing company, author of travel books. The tragic situation, that happened in Olga's life was the bereavement of her husband - Piotr. In 2009 a renowned Alpine climber of the young generation, died tragically in the Himalayas. It was hard to grasp, that suddenly lost her love and became a widow.
When the mourning period ended, Olga decided, that she would like to help people like she is, to help those who experience a similar situation. Poland does not have an organization, which would offer such people psychological and legal assistance.
But every day someone loses someone and this is the problem. People who have experienced a sudden loss, go through the same paths and experience. All the family and the close people to it try to pull together in order to make the loss easier. But each time there is no support and help in providing complex assistance for them and they face the sorrow and mourning by themselves. You are alone with you tragedy and you don't know what to do and how to act further. But Nagle Sami is about sharing experiences, so that others will not have to reinvent the wheel.
The mission of the Foundation is to give people hope and strength to go through the difficult period in their lives - bereavement; to give them a space to grieve, to help connect with others who have experienced something similar, and to assist in getting the information and help that people need.
